
Authentic Italian cuisine is at the heart of the Tuscany experience, which combines top-quality local produce with traditional Mediterranean flavours. The menu was inspired by my own trip to Tuscany, and upon my return I called on the talents of head chef Steve McCann and north east food authority Terry Laybourne to re-create the authentic Italian flavours I had fallen in love with. Specialities include roasted monkfish with grilled lettuce, red repper relish and polenta, Porchetta, a Tuscan-style pork roast with fennel, herbs and garlic, and Tuscan braised beef. There’s also an early diner menu available between 5pm and 7pm Monday-Thursday and 5pm and 6.30pm Friday- Saturday, which allows diners to choose dishes such as duck liver and port pate with red onion marmalade, chargrilled chicken with rosemary roast potatoes and green beans, and pannacotta with raspberries, priced at two courses for £8.95 and three courses for £11.95 To round off the Italian experience I have hand-picked the finest wines Italian vineyards from regions in Veneto, Puglia, Sicily and, of course, Tuscany.
